Driving yourself to the south of Madagascar



Driving yourself from the capital to Tulear or its surroundings Ifaty/Mangily/Anakao/Nosy Ve is one of the easiest. This about 1000 kilometers journey can be done in 7 days minimum with stops at the national parks of Ranomafana, Isalo in Ranohira, Andringitra, Anja Community Reserve Park. This tour is ideally possible from February to December. The price of self-driving for the south is 60 euros per day.

Driving yourself to the southwest
The southwest coast of  is about 600 kilometers of unpaved roads from Morondava to Tulear. Note that there is almost no telephone network on this road. You can explore baobabs forests from June to October. The price of self-driving for the south is 150 euros per day.

Driving yourself to the the Tsingy
Driving yourself the unpaved road to the Tsingy de Bemaraha is quite easy for just one day of driving from June to October. This destination is either associated with the southern and/or southwest circuit.
